When I use DSLR, I care about the focal length of a lens.
I think that air of a snowy left forest is handed down from this photograph.
There is a bottom in snow from my waist :-)

Your dof on the top shot is quite effective. Sometimes this focal technique paints a unique and abstract canvas that really transforms the photo into something unique. You have achieved that here. Great shot.
