Yes. It is just what you felt it really.
I should have taken vertical composition led by a man at least.
Then there is a possibility that depth of the way where a decoy follows appeared.

I really like this shot, has a classic feel to it. I would be tempted to crop about a third off the right side to focus the attention on the man and the trees, but then you'd lose the man centred in the image.
